KFS Media - A Cost-Effective and Scalable eCommerce Solution

Screenshot of the KFS Media eCommerce website, designed and developed by WinuSoft using Breakdance Builder and WooCommerce as part of a custom eCommerce web design project. – WinuSoft | Breakdance Builder Developer & Top UK Web Development Company

The KFS Media website, built by WinuSoft using Breakdance Builder and WooCommerce, features a clean, minimal design tailored to showcase an extensive collection of downloadable magazines and videos. Tim, the founder, is a well-known figure in the BDSM and fetish scene, so the site needed to reflect both his credibility and the brand’s niche authority.

As with all of our Breakdance builds, the site utilises the Breakdance templating feature, meaning that we can design a product once using a Breakdance template and automatically use the same design for all of the products. We also set all of the WooCommerce styles globally in the Breakdance settings, ensuring that all of the WooCommerce pages (Cart, Checkout and My Account) used the same styles. This makes the build faster and ultimately, saves the customer money.

We look after the site for Tim, updating the plugins regularly and adding new products when he needs them.

FAQ: Your Questions Answered

If you've got any questions that aren't answered below, then please get in touch with us. We'd love to hear from you.
  • Is WooCommerce better than Shopify?

Both platforms have their strengths. Shopify is a hosted, all-in-one solution that’s great for beginners, while WooCommerce offers far more flexibility, especially if you already use WordPress. We build WooCommerce sites for clients who want full control over design, features, and long-term scalability — without being locked into monthly platform fees.

  • How much does it cost to build a WooCommerce website?

It depends on the size and complexity of your store. A basic setup with a few products will cost less than a site with custom functionality, variable products, or booking systems. Most of the WooCommerce sites we build fall in the region of £3,500, but some are less — and others are more. It all comes down to what your business needs. We’ll give you a fixed quote after a short chat, so there are no surprises.

  • Can you integrate payment gateways like Stripe and PayPal?

Yes. We regularly integrate Stripe, PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Klarna, and others depending on what suits your business best. WooCommerce supports a wide range of gateways, and we can help you choose the right ones for your audience.

  • Can I manage the shop myself once it’s built?

Yes. All our WooCommerce sites are built to be easy to update. You’ll be able to add products, manage orders, change prices, and run promotions without touching a line of code. If you ever get stuck, we’re here to help.

  • What’s included in a WooCommerce website build?

Every project includes a fully custom WordPress website, WooCommerce setup, payment gateway integration (like Stripe or PayPal), product design, shop and category pages, cart and checkout configuration, and mobile optimisation. We also make sure your site is easy to update, SEO-friendly, and set up to grow with your business.

  • What is Easy Digital Downloads (EDD)?

EDD is a WordPress plugin built specifically for selling digital products like ebooks, software, courses, or music. It’s lightweight, fast, and streamlined — perfect if you don’t need the overhead of a full WooCommerce setup.

  • When should I use EDD instead of WooCommerce?

If you’re only selling digital products, EDD is often the better choice. It’s simpler to set up, easier to manage, and built with digital downloads in mind — no need to work around shipping or inventory features you don’t need.

  • Can EDD handle licensing, subscriptions, or payment gateways?

Yes. EDD has a wide range of official extensions for things like software licensing, recurring payments, Stripe and PayPal integration, and customer management. We’ll help you choose the right setup for your business.
