How to Use Interactions to Create a Popup in Oxygen Builder 6

In this tutorial, see how to use the Interactions feature in Oxygen Builder 6 to create a custom popup from scratch. The video walks through every step – setting up the popup background, building the popup itself, and configuring the interactions to show and hide it on click.

The same approach can be used to create interactive elements like mobile menus, search forms, or anything else that needs to appear or disappear when triggered. No extra plugins or complicated workarounds – just native features within Oxygen 6.

Oxygen interactions allow you to bring your site to life with click-based triggers, smooth reveal effects, and dynamic content that engages your users. You can apply actions like Show Element, Hide Element, Toggle Class, or even run a JavaScript function – no custom code required. In this example, we’re using a simple click trigger to show and hide the popup, but the same concept works with hover effects, scroll events, and more.

Apologies for the audio quality in this one – it’s my first video, and I’ll be using a proper microphone next time! I also apologise for how loud my keyboard seems in the video.
